Canadians are increasingly open to different ways of becoming homeowners, but a new report suggests builders are having trouble delivering the lower-cost homes buyers need. New research commissioned by Meridian Credit Union, Ontario’s largest credit union, found 62 per cent of Canadians would consider non-traditional housing options, including modular, prefabricated or tiny homes. Half specifically view those housing types as a viable path to homeownership.
