Cornwall mayor reflects on positives, challenges at annual chamber breakfast

Speaking to a friendly crowd Wednesday morning, Cornwall Mayor Justin Towndale took a reflective approach to his address to the Cornwall and Area Chamber of Commerce’s Mayor’s Breakfast. This is our time and it’s important to get that message out there,” Towndale said. “We’re not ‘that town that smells’ anymore, and we can say that … we can look to the future.”

The comment came after the mayor noted his invitation to participate in several panel discussions at recent events held by the Ontario Good Roads Association (where he’s a director), the Ontario Real Estate Association, the Ottawa Real Estate Board, and the Great Lakes and St. Lawrence Cities Initiative.
