The Ontario Real Estate Association (OREA) has welcomed Ontario’s 2026 Fall Economic Statement, tabled by Finance Minister Peter Bethlenfalvy on October 29. But the association is pressing the Ford government to extend its new-home harmonised sales tax (HST) relief beyond March 2027, warning the current deadline limits how many buyers can benefit.
